First Lieutenant David Reid of Company G, Massachusetts 54th Volunteer Infantry

First Lieutenant David Reid (1829 - 30 November 1864)

Served as Commissary Sergeant for Massachusetts 11th, Company F in 1861.

He was married and working as a bookkeeper when he enlisted into the MA 54th from Boston, MA.

Promoted to Second Lieutenant 17 April 1863. Promoted to First Lieutenant 19 July 1863.

Served as Acting Regional Quartermaster in March and October of 1864.

Killed in Action on 30 November 1864 at Honey Hill, SC.
