Private Henry Parker of Company D, Massachusetts 54th Volunteer Infantry

Private Henry J. Parker (1841* - 4 October 1863)



In 1860, he was a laborer living in Columbia, PA. He was 5'7" with brown hair, black eyes and a brown complexion.

Enlisted from Lancaster County, PA on 19 March 1863. He was 29 years old, married and working as a farmer.

Died 5 October 1863 on Morris Island, SC of disease.

His wife's name was Phebe and they had two children: Hettie (b. 15 July 1862) and Annie (b. 1 March 1863.)

His grave is at Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, SC.
