He was single and working as a salesman in Boston, MA when he enlisted.

Also served in Massachusetts 16th, Company C in 1861 as General Alexander Schimmelfennig's staff.

Promoted to Second Lieutenant on 19 February 1863. Mustered out 27 February 1863.

Promoted to First Lieutenant on 24 May 1863. Mustered out 21 August 1863.

Promoted to Captain 26 January 1864. Mustered out 30 March 1864.

Discharged 20 August 1865.

Last known location: Chelsea, MA.

Served as Commissary Sergeant for Massachusetts 11th, Company F in 1861.

He was married and working as a bookkeeper when he enlisted into the MA 54th from Boston, MA.

Promoted to Second Lieutenant 17 April 1863. Promoted to First Lieutenant 19 July 1863.

Served as Acting Regional Quartermaster in March and October of 1864.

Killed in Action on 30 November 1864 at Honey Hill, SC.

His grave is at Maple Grove Cemetery in Findlay, OH.
