Private Chester Bromily Hoke of Company G, Massachusetts 54th Voluntary Infantry

Private Chester Bromily Hoke of New York (20 April 1847 - 26 March 1913)

Army records refer to him as "Bromily Hoke."

Enlisted from Montgomery County, NY on 14 April 1863. He was 18 years old, single and working as a farmer.

Discharged 16 June 1865 in Charleston, SC.
After his service, Private Hoke worked as a laborer at cook Maria Miller's household and as a porter at Hotel Mohawk in Canajoharie, NY

1910 Federal Census: listed as "Mulatto"

His grave is at Canajoharie Falls Cemetery in Canajoharie, NY.
