Private Augustus Ward of Company G, Massachusetts 54th Voluntary Infantry

Private Augustus Ward (1844 - 23 April 1896)


Enlisted from Jackson, MS on 9 April 1863. He was 19 years old, single and working as a seaman.

Discharged 2 June 1865.

G. A. R. (Grand Army of the Republic) Post 50, Chicago.

His grave is at Oak Woods Cemetery in Chicago, IL.

    An "Augustus P. Ward" studied at Oberlin College in 1859-1860. Further research needed.
